Snowshoes

We tried something new (well technically for the second time) this weekend... snowshoeing. It was so much fun. Hiking is something we miss doing in the cold, winter months. Michael's workplace, 1800-contacts, hosted an outing up to doughnut falls. This is a picture of us at the top of the falls. We walked over the snow where the river runs. As you can see, the falls are snowed over in the winter. We had a good time and hope to try it again soon.

T.V. unplugged...

We are officially sick of television. On Monday, we unplugged our T.V. and won't be plugging it back in until further notice. Although the winter months have been a little boring, we've learned that T.V. is not the answer. Since unplugging, we've found other more productive ways to spend our evenings... Reading, cooking for and spending time with family, yoga, basketball, going out to a movie, drawing, guitar playing, etc.

SKI UTAH

We have been skiing each and every Tuesday this season. Our resort of choice is Solitude. So far this winter, we've ridden 89,524 vertical feet on the lifts. We've been lucky to have had so many weekend storms. Up until last week, we've had fresh powder every single time we've been up on the slopes. It has been a great way to spend the winter. Today, we saw 2 moose on our drive up there. Last week, there were 3 of them in the exact same spot.

First-time Bloggers

As we make our first attempt at blogging, we're just sitting here on our love sack, watching an old 60's flick--Lawrence of Arabia, eating out of an 11 lb. bag of pistachios that we bought at Costco earlier today. We hope that this will be a fun way to keep in touch with friends and family, and record some of our good times, experiences, trips, thoughts, etc.
